Parent Portal SignUp

I. Create a PowerSchool ID

  1. go to https://gcsd.powerschool.com/public/home.html
  2. select “Parent Sign In”
  3. scroll down & select "Create an Account here" (takes a few seconds to load)
  4. Enter the required information to create a PowerSchool ID
    1. email address will be your PowerSchool ID (username)
    2. password must be between 8 and 64 characters with no more than three repeating characters
    3. Passwords do not expire
  5. click “Create PowerSchool ID”
  6. click “Continue to Unified Classroom Sign-in”

* use https://classroom.powerschool.com/ from now on to sign-in using your new PowerSchool ID and password


II. Link your account to your student’s data

  1. PARENT PORTALS USERS WITH PREVIOUS ACCOUNTS
    1. select second option: “I Have a Username and Password In My District’s PowerSchool Parent Portal”
    2. enter your previous username and password – this links your student data
    3. IF your old username/password does not work, contact Mrs. Wilson in Guidance
  2. NEW PARENT PORTAL USERS
    1. you will need to come to the Guidance Department to get an access code and password
    2. select “I Have a Student Access Code”
    3. enter information given to you by the Guidance Department
  3. Success! You should now be signed in to see your student’s information, including enrollments, grades, attendance, and more in PowerSchool.
