  • Coming Home Week! Please show support for all our Winter and Spring sport teams by taking part in our themed days. 

  • Tuesday: Disney Day….who is your favorite character?

  • Wednesday: Jocks vs Nerds….are you a jock who wishes to be a nerd, or a nerd that wishes to be a jock?
    Thursday: Decade Day…..dress like your favorite decade…50’s, 60’s 70’s, 80’s
    We will end Spirit week with a pep rally on Thursday, April 18th

  • Honor Roll rosters for Quarter 3 have been posted in the Commons Area. Please check the rosters and see your counselor if you have any questions. Congratulations to Scholars and Honor Roll students!

  • Congratulations to the newly elected Mu Alpha Theta Officers for the 2019-2020 School Year:
    President – Luis Garcia
    Vice President – Kaitlynn Johnson
    Secretary – Taylor Strickland

  • HOSA will have a meeting Wednesday, April 17 in Ms Barnes’ room (374-CC) at 3:10pm. Hosa’s Annual Spring Blood Drive will be on May 3rd. Students age 16 must have a parent consent to donate. (Age 17+ can donate without.) Please consider donating!

  • Nurses are Extraordinary Day. Tidelands Health is sponsoring Nurses are Extraordinary Day for rising high school seniors who would like to learn more about a career in nursing. There will be a daylong session on June 13th at Georgetown Memorial Hospital and June 17th at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital. For more information and to pick up an application, please stop by the guidance office. Deadline to apply is May 10, 2019.

  • Workday Wednesday will run for the next three Wednesdays ending on April 17th. Local businesses will be here during all lunches. Any student interested in applying may see them at this time.

  • School Bell Studios will be on campus April 17 to take Cap and Gown pictures. Students should have received an order form in the mail. If you did not, please stop by Mr. Walker’s room (116) to pick one up. Orders are prepaid. Students should bring their money on Picture Day.

  • Any Senior or graduating Junior who has enlisted in any branch of the US Armed Forces is asked to see Ms. Finley in the Guidance office regarding a military honor cord.

  • Any Senior who believes that they have had perfect attendance since the first grade should see Ms. Finley in Guidance. Students may not have missed any days since first grade in order to be considered for the 12 Year Perfect Attendance Certificate.

  • The Special Olympics will be held here at GHS on Friday, May 3rd. Any 11th or 12th grade student with no discipline referrals interested in volunteering as a buddy can stop by and pick up a permission form from Ms Haines in Room 111 between classes or during lunch. Spots are limited, so it’s first come, first serve.

  • Yearbook - $75! Stop by Mr. Walker’s room (Room 116) to get on the list or go to Jostens.com to make online payments.

  • PAWS Class Spirit T-shirts are on sale! You can represent in this long sleeve Bulldog shirt with your graduating class year on the back. Shirts are $10 for PAWS members and $15 for nonmembers. 


SPORTS

  • The Football team will be having a Lunch Fundraiser on Wednesday. They will be selling Little Caesar's pizza and Crazy Bread. Pizza will be $2 per slice. Crazy Bread will be $4.
