Todd wins Teacher of the YearTonya Todd has been elected by her peers to serve as Georgetown High School's Teacher of the Year. She teaches Mathematics and Computer Science and sponsors the Technology Club.

When asked what motivates her to teach, Todd said, "I like seeing kids get excited about learning and showing them how [math] can be useful in their lives." That is part of why she has embraced Project Lead the Way -- teaching Computer Science in a way that is project based and hands-on.

Todd has been teaching at Georgetown High for the past 13 years. A native of Georgetown County and a graduate of Carvers Bay High School, Todd is invested in making Georgetown County School District better through serving on the Teacher Forum as the representative from GHS.
