Lyceum Scholars Program
Clemson University is offering the Lyceum Scholars Program. This program offers a $2,500 scholarship which is renewable for up to four years. Lyceum Scholars will study the moral, political, and economics foundations of a free society. In addition to receiving this scholarship, recipients are paired with a faculty mentor, who guides their intellectual development throughout the program. Interested students please see guidance for more information. Priority Deadline is December 10, 2018.

The Silver Pen
The Lakes at Litchfield retirement community will offer a one-time scholarship to a deserving high school senior. First place winner will receive a plaque and $1,500. Second place winner will receive a certificate and $1,000. Third place winner will receive a certificate and $750. Fourth place winner will receive a certificate and $500.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must be a high school senior living within or attending a school within 25 miles of The Lakes at Litchfield.

Optimist International Youth Contests 2018-2019
The Optimist Club is offering 2 different contests to students in grades 9-12. The 1st contest is the Oratorical Contest. 1st place winners will receive $2,500. 2nd place will receive $1,500 and 3rd place will receive $1,000. Students that compete at the world champion level could receive up to $22,000 if they win. The 2nd contest is the essay contest. The winner will receive $2,500. ZipRecruiter Scholarship

ZipRecruiter is offering a $3,000 scholarship to a deserving high school student with the most creative entry. Applicants must write a 250 word follow-up email after a job interview and a 250 word description discussing each section they chose to include in their email template.
Eligibility Requirements:
-Applicant must be a legal resident of one of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia.
-Applicant must be 18 years of age or older (or at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence).
-Applicant must be enrolled as a student at an accredited high school, college or university in the United States.

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship
The GE-Regan Foundation Scholarship Program is offering numerous $10,000 renewable scholarships to deserving high school seniors who embody the characteristics of President Ronald Reagan at school, in the community, in the workplace, and at home. They are looking for students who show leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship. For more information, please stop by the guidance office. Kittie Moss Fairey Educational Fund Scholarship
The Kittie Moss Fairey Educational Fund offers scholarship aid to deserving students who meet certain academic and financial criteria.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicants must be high school seniors enrolled in a South Carolina high school.
• Applicants must be South Carolina residents.
• Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale through the spring 2018 Semester.
• Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
• Applicants must be planning to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the state of South Carolina.

The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship
The American Legion is sponsoring the 81st Annual high School Oratorical Scholarship program entitled “A Constitutional Speech Contest.” The purpose of this scholarship contest is to develop a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution of the United States on the part of high school students. Students in grades 9-12 may apply. Department of South Carolina Scholarship winners can receive up to $2,000 and advance to the National competition and an additional $1,500 scholarship for participation in the first round. Winners of the National Scholarships can receive up to $18,000. For more information, please stop by guidance. Harry Hampton Scholarship
The Harry Hampton Memorial Wildlife Fund is offering a $5,000 scholarship for up to 4 consecutive years to help students further their education in the natural resources discipline.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must be a full time resident of South Carolina and a senior in a public or private high school in South Carolina.
• Recipient must attend an institution of higher learning in South Carolina.
• Recipient must have a major in the natural resources discipline such as: wildlife biology, fisheries biology, forestry, marine science or environmental science to qualify (NOTE: Agriculture, general biology, pre-medical biology and veterinary science are NOT eligible for this scholarship)
• Recipient must maintain a GPR of 2.5 or above for a given academic year to receive funds for the following year.

Wallace F. Pate Scholarship
The Harry Hampton Memorial Wildlife Fund is also offering the Wallace F. Pate Scholarship in the amount of $2,500. This is a one-time award to help further their education in the natural resources discipline.

James O. Thomason Scholarship
The Harry Hampton Memorial Wildlife Fund is also offering the James O. Thomason Scholarship in the amount of $2,000 annually for 4 years. This scholarship is to help students further their education in print or photo journalism, advertising, public relations or mass communications.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must be a full time resident of South Carolina and a senior in a public or private high school in South Carolina.
• Recipient must attend an institution of higher learning in South Carolina.
• Recipient must declare a major in electronic, print or photo journalism, advertising, public relations or mass communications to qualify.
• Recipient must maintain a GPR of 2.5 or above for a given academic year to receive funds for the following year.

David M. Cline Scholarship
The Harry Hampton Memorial Wildlife Fund is also offering the David M. Cline Scholarship in the amount of $2,000. This one time award is to help a student further their education in law enforcement, criminal justice, forensics or forensic science.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must be a full time resident of South Carolina and a senior in a public or private high school in South Carolina.
• The recipient must attend an institution of higher learning in South Carolina.
• The recipient must enroll in a major in law enforcement, criminal justice, forensics or forensic science to qualify (NOTE: Biology or Pre-Med students seeking a degree in forensic pathology and related course/curriculum studies DO NOT QUALIFY).

SCAC 2019 Scholarship Program
The South Carolina Association of Counties (SCAC) is offering a $2,500 scholarship to a deserving high school senior in Georgetown County. Applicant must be planning on attending a South Carolina College, university, or two-year technical college in the fall. SC Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities Journalism Contest
The winner of the 2019 Journalism Contest receives a four-year scholarship to the South Carolina state-supported institution of his or her choice. This year’s journalism contest topic is “America’s Workforce: Empowering All.” Applicants must be between the ages of 16-19 and a senior in high school. You do not have to have a disability to enter. Yawkey Scholarship
The Yawkey Foundation is offering a four-year renewable scholarship to cover tuition and fees to a deserving high school senior. This is a great opportunity for graduating high school students from Georgetown County, SC entering college in South Carolina in 2019-20.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must be a US citizen and a permanent resident of Georgetown County, South Carolina.
• Applicant must be from a low-income family with unmet financial need. All applicants must submit a copy of pages one and two of the parent(s)’ or guardian(s)’ most recent IRS form 1040 and a copy of the SAR.
• Applicant must be engaged in a meaningful, sustained mentoring program or ongoing relationship with an adult role model.
• Applicant must be a current senior at an accredited high school in South Carolina.
• Applicant must be accepted to and plan to attend a public or private four-year college or university in South Carolina beginning in the Fall 2019.
• Applicant must have strong academic record or demonstrate a significant improvement over time.
• Applicant must be involved in a balance of community, school, and work activities.

Daughters of the American Revolution Winyah Chapter Scholarship
The Winyah Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is proud to offer our college scholarship to exemplary high school students this year. Applicants must write a statement of 1,000 words or less describing their talents, innovation, involvement and leadership in school and community as they pertain to their goals. 2019 Georgetown Kraft Credit Union Scholarship
Georgetown Kraft Credit Union will award $1,000 scholarships to deserving high school seniors that display exemplary character, work ethic and strong educational goals.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must be graduating high school in Georgetown or Williamsburg County.
• Applicant must be an active GKCU member or child/relative of GKCU member.
• Applicant must be planning to enroll at least a minimum of 12 hours of credit per semester at their post-secondary institution.

The Carolina Tesol is offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving high school ESOL senior in the memory of Suzannah Blackwell.
