SC Teaching Fellows
To apply for Teaching Fellows, you must be:
a United States citizen or permanent resident alien legally authorized to be in the United States (Please note - students categorized as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) are not eligible for Teaching Fellows.)
a legal resident of South Carolina (Please note - Residency will be verified by the Teaching Fellows Institution after a student has been offered an award.)

PSSCA Student Scholarship
The Palmetto State School Counselor Association awards five high school seniors a $1,000.00 non-renewable scholarship to assist with post-secondary education costs.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a high school senior attending a public or private secondary school in the state of South Carolina.
Must be a permanent resident of the state of South Carolina.
Must plan to attend a post-secondary institution during the 2021-2022 school year.

Burger King Scholarship
High school seniors, BURGER KING® employees, their dependent children, spouses, or domestic partners In the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico can apply to receive $1,000 to $50,000 scholarships for the 2021-2022 school year!
High school seniors must:
Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
Be active in their school, community and/or have work experience

Wofford College Scholarship Opportunities

Early Action Admission applications are due November 15, 2020 and are an eligibility requirement for most scholarships.

South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship Program
The South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation offers scholarship aid to deserving students who meet certain academic criteria.
Eligibility Guidelines:
Be a senior in a South Carolina high school
Have a cumulative GPA of 2.75
Be a resident of South Carolina
Have a competitive or recreational interest in golf
Must attend an accredited public or private, four-year college or university located in South Carolina in the fall of 2021

2021 Profile in Courage Essay Contest
By submitting an original essay describing a leader who demonstrated political courage as described by President Kennedy in his book, Profiles in Courage, students can win one of 15 scholarship awards for college — including a $10,000 first-place prize.
Eligibility and Requirements:
The contest is open to U.S. high school students in grades 9-12 attending public, private, parochial, or home schools; U.S. students under the age of 20 enrolled in a high school correspondence/GED program in any of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, or the U.S. territories; and U.S. citizens attending schools overseas.
Essays can be no more than 1,000 words but must be a minimum of 700 words.
Essays must describe an act of political courage by a U.S. elected official who served during or after 1917. The official may have addressed an issue at the local, state, or national level.

Silver Pen Writing Competition
Silver Pen is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between younger and older generations. Members at The Lakes at Litchfield will judge the essays and ultimately choose three ranked winners for a $2,500, $750, and $500 reward.
The Essay Topic is as follows:
There are many people that can be influential to an individual’s life whether they be someone in history or known personally to that individual. If you could have a conversation with anyone, living or deceased, who would it be and why? What would you discuss?
Eligibility Requirements:
High School Seniors who live or attend school within 25 miles of The Lakes at Litchfield
Employees and children of employees at The Lakes at Litchfield are eligible as well as Members’ grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews with no distance restrictions

Harry Hampton Fund Scholarships
Harry Hampton Scholarship (4 years, $5,000/yr): For students in the natural resources disciplines of wildlife biology, fisheries biology, forestry, marine or environmental science.
Wallace F. Pate scholarship (1 year, $2,500): for students in the natural resources disciplines of wildlife biology, fisheries biology, forestry, marine or environmental science.
David M. Cline Scholarship (1 year, $2,000): For students who wish to further their education in law enforcement/criminal justice/forensic science. Pre-medical curricula on a path to forensic medicine does not qualify for this scholarship.
James O. Thomason Scholarship (4 years, $2,000/yr): For students who wish to further their education in print or photo journalism, advertising, public relations or mass communications. This scholarship requires the student to submit a topical essay.
Natural resource students may apply for the hampton and Pate scholarships together on one application, but are eligible to be awarded only one. The Cline and Thomason scholarships have separate application forms.

Army ROTC Scholarships
Army ROTC offers generous merit-based scholarships to qualified students. They can defray the full cost of tuition, and provide additional tax-free allowances for books, supplies, equipment, and necessary fees.
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:
Be a U.S. citizen.
Be between the ages of 17 and 26 and/or must be able to commission as an Officer by age 30.
Have a high school cumulative grade point average of at least 2.50.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Score a minimum of 1000 on the SAT (math/verbal) or 19 on the ACT (excluding the writing test scores).
Meet the physical standards.
Civil convictions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in the Reserve Component (Army Reserve or National Guard).

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and HTC Key Scholarship
Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and Horry Telephone Cooperative, Inc. have partnered to offer two scholarship awards to graduating high school seniors from Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Williamsburg, and the southern part of Florence County. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to rising college freshmen seeking a four-year degree from Coastal Carolina University or Francis Marion University. The scholarship may be renewed for an additional three years in the amount of $500 per year should the award recipient continue to meet qualifying criteria. The amount a Key Scholarship recipient may be awarded over a four-year period is $2,500.
Eligibility:
Be a graduating high school senior
Have at least a 3.0 GPA
Be accepted by and plan to attend either Coastal Carolina University or Francis Marion University for at least four years
Be enrolled in a minimum of 12 college credit hours at either CCU or FMU

Georgetown Kraft Credit Union Scholarships
Scholarships ($1,000) will be awarded to deserving area high school seniors that display exemplary character, work ethic, and strong educational goals. Recipient
Scholarship Criteria:
Graduating high schoolers in Georgetown or Williamsburg Counties
Active GKCU member or child/relative of GKCU member
Planning to enroll at least a minimum of 12 hours of credit per semester at their post-secondary institution

FBi Construction Scholarship at Eastern Carolina Community Foundation
The purpose of the FBi Construction Scholarship is to provide scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to students entering a course of study in the construction industry with the goal of finding employment in a career allied with the construction industry.
Qualifications:
Reside in one of the following counties: Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion, Marlboro, or Williamsburg.
Be accepted to or enrolled at an accredited institution of higher education
GPA must be 2.5 or better
Demonstrate financial need. The applicant’s FAFSA score is required.
Desire to pursue a degree or professional certificate in a construction related industry.

Thumbs Up Guys Scholarship
Because education paves the way for a society to flourish,Miller, Dawson, Sigal, & Ward Injury Attorneys want to play a part in helping students get the schooling they desire to contribute something great to our community. The scholarship will grant three students a $1,000 scholarship each to be applied towards their tuition or other education-related expenses.
Eligibility Requirements
Students who have been accepted or currently attend a 2 or 4-year college or university in South Carolina
GPA of at least 3.0
